Mr. Leach advises companies on their executive compensation and corporate
governance programs. He helps them design and implement strategies
and programs to help them run their businesses and increase shareholder
value. For more than 25 years, he has consulted with Boards from a
broad range of companies in the industrial, technology, and service
sectors.
He is on the faculty for Corporate Director
Training at The Anderson School at UCLA. In
addition, he provides expert witness testimony
on executive compensation.
A frequent speaker on executive compensation
issues, Mr. Leach has been interviewed and
quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Fortune
Magazine, Business Week, Forbes Magazine,
The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, CNBC,
and CNNfn. In addition, Mr. Leach has
authored articles for various publications
including Directorship,
Director’s Monthly, HR Executive, Compensation and Benefits
Management, and WorldatWork Journal.
Prior to founding Executive Compensation
Group, Mr. Leach served as National Director of Compensation Consulting
for
Buck Consultants in New York City, National
Practice Leader and Board Member with Compensation Resource Group
(now Clark Consulting), and
Principal with Towers Perrin in Los Angeles
and Cincinnati. Prior to consulting, Mr. Leach managed the compensation
programs at Merrill
Lynch.
Mr. Leach received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business
at the University of Illinois. After graduating, he completed General
Electric’s Financial Management Program. While working in the
financial services industry, Mr. Leach became
registered with the New York Stock Exchange
and the National Association of Security
Dealers.
